Bishan Mrt StationBishan MRT Station is the Singaporean Mass Rapid Transit station that serves the Bishan community, especially that of Bishan East. The station is located in Central Singapore. It is located along Bishan Road, close to the town centre of Bishan next to Junction 8 shopping mall. In the current MRT network, it lies on the North South MRT Line. However, it would serve to be one of the few interchange stations between the North South MRT Line and the Circle MRT Line when the latter is completed, enabling passengers to cut directly to the top part of North East MRT Line. Trivia The Bishan MRT Station is the only ground station in the MRT system, although it is one storey below ground. It is the station that represents the middle section of the SMRT logo. One can, however, see the surroundings from the station since it is open-air, unlike other underground stations. It is also the station had most numbers of accident.
