Bill Sikes

Bill Sikes is a fictional character in the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. He is a career criminal associated with Fagin. He owns a bull terriernamed Bullseye, who he beats until he is in stitches. He is almost psychotic - very violent and aggressive, with sudden bursts of extreme behaviour. His girlfriend Nancy 'Sikes' somehow put up with his violent and lawless behaviour because she, being a thief since about 6 years, needed something stable. Sikes, Bill
