Bill Grundy

William Grundy (1924 - February 9, 1993), commonly called Bill, was the host of Thames Television's Today show in the 1970s. He was notorious for being drunk during broadcasts. He became famous when the punk band Sex Pistols were featured on the show on December 1, 1976, during which he encouraged them to swear after Johnny Rotten unintentionally muttered the word "fuck".
