Geography Bigfoot is located at 29°3'19" North, 98°50'49" West (29.055333, -98.847011). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 61.9 km² (23.9 mi²). 61.8 km² (23.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.13% water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 304 people, 110 households, and 91 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 4.9/km² (12.7/mi²). There are 127 housing units at an average density of 2.1/km² (5.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 81.58% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 16.12% from other races, and 2.30% from two or more races. 44.74% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 110 households out of which 31.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.4% are married couples living together, 12.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 16.4% are non-families. 14.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.76 and the average family size is 3.01. In the CDP the population is spread out with 25.0% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 25.7% from 25 to 44, 29.3% from 45 to 64, and 12.5% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 105.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 101.8 males. The median income for a household in the CDP is $19,375, and the median income for a family is $17,083. Males have a median income of $22,917 versus $28,750 for females.
