Bezirk

Bezirk ('district' in German, pl. Bezirke) was the name of administrative subdivisions of the German Democratic Republic since 1952.  See Subdivisions of East Germany. Today, it is still the name of certain administrative subdivisions both in Germany and Austria. See District and Regierungsbezirk.
