Benjamin Wegner

Jacob Benjamin Wegner (1795-1864) was a Prussian-Norwegian industrialist born in Knigsberg, and diplomat for the Hanseatic city states. He was Director General and co-owner of the Modums Blaafarvevrk, the world leading producer of cobalt pigment, from 1823 to 1849. In Norway he resided on the estate of Frogner Manor (Frogner Hovedgaard), where Frognerparken and the Vigeland Sculpture Park are found today. Wegner, Benjamin Wegner, Benjamin
