Benjamin Urrutia

Benjamin Urrutia (1950-), international author and scholar, was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Urrutia co-authored, with Guy Davenport, The Logia of Yeshua (1996), which collected what they consider to be Jesus' authentic sayings from a variety of canonical and non-canonical sources. Urrutia interprets Jesus' mission to be that of a leadership role in the "Israelite nonviolent resistance to Roman oppression." Author of Slanted Gloria. Editor of LDSF2: Latter Day Science Fiction 2 and LDSF3. Translator of the Spengler Module. Contributor to the Writings of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Utah Historical Encyclopedia, and other scholarly endeavors.
