Belaid Abdessalam

Belaid Abdessalam (born July 1928 in Ain Kebir, Algeria) is an Algerian politician. He was a nationalist leader during Algeria's struggle for independence from France. He was minister of industry and power under Houari Boumedienne. Abdessalam served as Prime Minister of Algeria from July 8 1992 until August 21 1993.
