Beas River

India's Beas River, once known as the Hyphasis, marks the most easterly extent of the conquests of Alexander the Great in 326 BC. The river begins at the Rohtang Pass in Himachal Pradesh, and eventually joins the Sutlej River to flow through Pakistan.
