In the Battle of Jingxing (井陘之戰), in 205 BC, the famed Chinese commander Han Xin, with an army of 30,000 levies, defeated a numerically larger army of Zhao near Jingxing (Jing Gorge), a narrow and dangerous defile in modern Hebei province. Jingxing
