It claims to be "the world's largest ice cream franchise", with more than 4,500 locations, 2,300 of which are located in the United States. Baskin-Robbins was purchased in 1973 by the British company J. Lyons and Co., which later became part of Allied Domecq. Baskin-Robbins, Togo's, and Dunkin Donuts comprise Allied Domecq Quick Service Restaurants, part of Allied Domecq plc. Baskin-Robbins is also known for its 'Thirty-One Flavors' slogan.
