Commonwealth
country is a
professional body
that regulates the profession of
barristers
together with the
Inns of Court
. Solicitors are regulated by the
Law society
. Where there is no distinction between barristers and solicitors (i.e. where there is a
fused profession
) the professional body may be called either the
Law Society
or the
Bar Council
.
