Ballenstedt Ballenstedt is a town, which is been located on the northern edge of the east resin. It belongs to the district of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt. The Roman-style road leads into Ballenstedt. In Ballenstedt it has a Schloss in Ballenstedt the Ascanian seat. The mine tester representative Albert I of Brandenburg from in the year 1157 of Mark Brandenburg and was her first Markgtaf. Albert I led like his father, the title Graf von Ballenstedt. Albert I's grave lies with some gates in the Ascanian monastery in Ballenstedt. In the city park, a monument for Albrecht is located, built from Frithjof Meussling.
