Baji Prabhu DeshpandeBaji Prabhu Deshpande (died 1660) was a lieutenant of Shivaji, founder of the Hindu Maratha empire. He belonged to the Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhu Community. He is recorded as having died heroically defending a narrow valley during the battle of Siddi Masood, allowing Shivaji to escape. He is described as a powerful warrior who wielded two swords at once.
