AzimuthAzimuth is the horizontal component of a direction (compass direction), measured around the horizon from the North point, toward the East, i.e. clockwise. The other is altitude (elevation above the horizon). In radio astronomy azimuth refers to the position that an antenna must be pointed to receive a satellite signal.
