Atlixco

Atlixco is a rapidly growing city in the state of Puebla, Mexico. It is located only 30 miles south of the city of Puebla, yet 300 hundred meters below in altitude, at 1840 mts. This drop in altitude causes a noticable change in the weather of the city compared to the surrounding regions of the "Sierra Nevada" or Snowed Mountains, making Atlixco renowned for its benign climate which varies only a few degrees year round. Atlixco has a population of 100,000 and is located on the foothills of the Popocatpetl volcano. A famous golf country club in Mexico, "El Cristo", is located at the outskirts of the city.
