Arthur Edward Moore
(1876-1963), was Premier of
Queensland
from 1929 to 1932. He was the only non-Labor Premier from 1915 to 1957. He was born in Napier,
New Zealand
and arrived in Queensland in 1898, where he was a wheat farmer on the
Darling Downs
. He entered parliament in 1915 representing the Farmers Union.
