Arthur Hughes

Arthur Hughes was born circa 1894 and became an actor, first on the stage and, later, on radio in the 1930s and 1940s. He was best known as 'Bill Davidson' on the long-running radio program called Just Plain Bill. He acted in other well-known radio programs such as the Fu Manchu Mysteries and Mr. Keene, Tracer of Lost Persons. He later appeared in some made-for-TV movies in the 1960s. Arthur Hughes and Edward Pawley of Big Town fame were good friends. They were roommates in their early years in Manhattan, NYC.
