ArrondissementAn arrondissement is an administrative division in some francophone countries: France Municipal arrondissement Main article: Municipal arrondissement in France Paris Main article: Arrondissements of Paris The city of Paris, in France is divided into 20 arrondissements. Marseille and Lyon The French cities Marseille and Lyon are also divided into municipal arrondissements. Departmental arrondissement Main article: Arrondissement in France Arrondissement is also the name of the subdivisions of the French dpartements (but the word is barely used in this meaning). The capital city of an arrondissement is the sous-prfecture Belgium In Belgium, the nation is divided into provinces, which are in turn subdivided into arrondissements. Each arrondissement comprised of communes. Canada In Canada's province of Qubec, the cities of Gatineau, Montral, Qubec City, Saguenay, Longueuil and Sherbrooke are divided into arrondissements (called boroughs in English).
