Army Group Courland

Army Group Courland (German: Heeresgruppe Kurland) On the 25 January Hitler renamed three army groups. Army Group North became Army Group Courland; Army Group Centre became Army Group North and Army Group A became Army Group Centre. Army Group Courland, consisting of the 16th and 18th Armies, remained in existence until the end of the war in Europe on 8 May 1945 encircled by the Soviet Army in Courland.
