Argumentum Ad Lazarum

Argumentum ad lazarum is the logical fallacy of thinking a conclusion is correct because the subject of the argument is poor.
Example:
Hermits are wise, they are not distracted by possessions.
The opposite is the argumentum ad crumenam.
