 Chilodus The Anostomidae fish family belongs to the Characiformes order, fish in this family are primarily located in South America. They usually have an elongated bodies and small, apical to upturned mouths. Pencilfishes often orient their bodies at oblique angles; Headstanders go even further with orientation from 45 up to 90 degrees at times.
