Annual Publication

An annual publication, more often called simply an annual, is a book or a magazine, comic book or comic strip published yearly. If it is not a book or a comic, it may be brought out to praise some celebrity or celebrities, to tie in with a popular TV series or even a holiday camp (such as the Butlins annual). Occasionally the title is used for something that has little hope of any further editions, such as a movie tie in, especially if, in the UK, it is published in the months leading up to Christmas. List of collectable annuals: Many American comic books have published annuals as supplements to regular ongoing series, such as The Amazing Spider-Man or Captain America.
