American National Men's Hockey Teamright The American national men's hockey team is the national ice hockey team for the United States. The team is controlled by USA Hockey. As of 2004 the American team was ranked 6th in the IIHF World Rankings. The US won the silver medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics, and won the 1996 World Cup of Hockey. Their only recent medal at the World Championships came in 2004 with a bronze.
