American Gigolo

American Gigolo is a 1980 film in which Richard Gere stars as a male prostitute in Los Angeles who falls in love with the unhappy wife (Lauren Hutton) of a local politician, and is framed for murder. Written and directed by Paul Schrader, who based the film on French director Robert Bresson's Pickpocket (1959). "Call Me" by Blondie is the lead song for the popular soundtrack.
