American Decency Association

The American Decency Association is a religious organization. Founded in 1999 by Bill Johnson, former director of the American Family Association and before that a Christian minister and teacher, the A.D.A. website states its mission is "to educate its members and the general public on matters of decency; to initiate, promote, encourage and coordinate activity designed to safeguard and advance public morality consistent with biblical Christianity." The A.D.A. organizes media campaigns and national boycotts of corporations that, through their products, sevices or advertising, promote values that the A.D.A. disagrees with. They also sell educational resources (books, videos and tapes) for a suggested donation.
