Geography City is located at 38°25'5" North, 120°49'28" West (38.418092, -120.824342). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.9 km² (0.3 mi²). 0.9 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 196 people, 85 households, and 54 families residing in the city. The population density is 229.3/km² (601.7/mi²). There are 91 housing units at an average density of 106.5/km² (279.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 90.82% White, 1.02% Native American, 4.08% from other races, and 4.08% from two or more races. 9.18% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 85 households out of which 23.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.5% are married couples living together, 15.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.3% are non-families. 27.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.31 and the average family size is 2.76. In the city the population is spread out with 19.4% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 27.0% from 25 to 44, 32.7% from 45 to 64, and 13.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 42 years. For every 100 females there are 92.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 100.0 males. The median income for a household in the city is $45,625, and the median income for a family is $39,861. Males have a median income of $30,313 versus $16,250 for females. The per capita income for the city is $17,963. 22.9% of the population and 14.0% of families are below the poverty line.
