Alfred Of Aquitaine

Alfred of Aquitaine (d. 927) was briefly Count of Auvergne and Duke of Aquitaine between 926 and 927, succeeding his brother William II of Aquitaine. Alfred was the youngest son of the count Alfred I of Carcassone and Adelinde of Auvergne, sister of William I of Aquitaine. Marriages and descendants are unknown and in his death, Aquitaine returned to the control of the house of Poitiers. See also: Dukes of Aquitaine family tree
