Albert EllisAlbert Ellis (born September 27, 1913) is a psychologist who is the originator of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT); the theory holds that one's personal beliefs and evaluations control one's feelings. Thus it is not the so called reality that bothers us, rather it is our thoughts and ideas about the reality that causes us trouble. The positive modification of our beliefs and evaluations can bring about improvement. Choose different evaluations and beliefs about something and your feelings will consequently change.
