Al-ahly

Al-Ahly is a football (soccer) club founded in 1907 and based in Cairo, Egypt. Al-Ahly is one of the strongest club sides in Africa, and in 2000 the Confederation of African Football named it Africa's "Club of the Century". It has a fierce rivalry with local rivals Zamalek, and the derby matches are so intense that foreign referees are brought in to officiate them. Al-Ahly recently had a 21-match winning streak broken; this is the longest undefeated streak in the Egyptian league.
