Airtrain (Brisbane)

AirTrain is the name given to the rail connection between central Brisbane, Australia and the Brisbane Airport. It is under joint public/private control. It connects with the CityTrain rail network and uses CityTrain rolling stock. Services run every thirty minutes to the Domestic and International terminals of the Brisbane Airport, connecting with the line running to the Gold Coast. The railway line is elevated for much of its length. The Airport line runs north-east, commencing at Roma Street station and branching from other lines at Eagle Junction. Although it utilises CityTrain rollingstock such as the IMU sets, AirTrain does not form part of the TransLink integrated public transport service, and therefore use of its service requires users to pay more. It costs $10 each way to use the service from stations between South Bank and Brunswick Sreet. Concession fares are not offered, however child fares apply.
