Absolution is the 3rd Studio Album and the 4th Album released by the Alternative Rock band Muse. The Album was released in September of 2003 (see 2003 in music), in the UK and later in the US during March of 2004 (see 2004 in music). It was published by Taste Music Limited. "Earth-shattering and life-saving," - the NME "A sure-fire ticket to world domination," - Rock Sound "A hyperspace jump into the future." - the Bang The album debuted at No. 1 in the UK charts before climbing to the top spot in France also. Within weeks of release it reached the top 5 in twelve countries, the top 10 in fifteen countries and the top 20 in twenty countries. The album reached #107 in the United States. Due to the almost "double release" of the album, Absolution had quite a long life, and resulted in the release of 5 singles (and 1 charity special download "Apocalypse Please").
