Abbott Township is a township located in Potter County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 226.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 181.1 km² (69.9 mi²). 181.1 km² (69.9 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the census ² of 2000, there are 226 people, 88 households, and 69 families residing in the township. The population density is 1.2/km² (3.2/mi²). There are 457 housing units at an average density of 2.5/km² (6.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 99.12% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.88% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 88 households out of which 26.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.6% are married couples living together, 5.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 20.5% are non-families. 18.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.57 and the average family size is 2.86. In the township the population is spread out with 22.6% under the age of 18, 3.1% from 18 to 24, 25.7% from 25 to 44, 33.6% from 45 to 64, and 15.0% who are 65 years of age or older.
