96.4 Fm Brmb

BRMB was Birmingham's first commercial radio station and began broadcasting in the 1970s. It has since been rebranded as 96.4 FM BRMB. It is now owned by the Capital Radio Group and remains synonymous with Britain's second city. The station retains it local focus, organising several charity events and outside broadcasts, including Party in the Park, Birmingham's most popular music festival. BRMB earned notoriety for its publicity stunts, including an arranged marriage between two listeners who first met at the ceremony (they divorced soon afterwards) and an "endurace" competition in which a listener was given frostbite. The station aims itself at young urban listeners who are 'in touch with their city'.
