610 (Telephone)

When speaking of telephones, 610 refers to the standard type of two-wire wall socket and plug used for telephones in Australia. The 610 connector is unique to Australia and is primarily used in wall sockets. The plug consists of three thin and one thicker, nonconnected prongs and is still rather common in Australian households . Modular, or RJ-15 connectors are popular also.
