The 31st century (Gregorian Calendar) comprises the years 3001-3100. Fiction - The TV show Futurama mainly takes place in the first years of the 31st century, (3000-3006). In this series the head of Richard M Nixon wins the planetary election of 3000 and becomes president of Earth. He pursues an aggressive policy of worthless wars and corrupt tax rebates.

In the episode "Shockwave", Captain Jonathan Archer is briefly transported to the 31st century in an alternate timeline in which the United Federation of Planets was never established.
