• Stipulated completion of restoration works to the Forbidden City in China
• Scheduled completion of the National Trunk Highway System in the People's Republic of China
• Earliest year that power aboard the space probes Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 is expected to terminate (though either probe may function past this date).
• November 3 - scheduled presidential and congressional elections in the United States (117th Congress will be elected).
