1967 Atlantic Hurricane SeasonThe 1967 Atlantic hurricane season was an ongoing event in the annual cycle of tropical cyclone formation. It officially started June 1, 1967, and lasted until November 30, 1967. Hurricane Beulah was the most notable Atlantic hurricane of 1967. It killed 58 and did $217 million ($1.1 billion in 2000 dollars) in damage as it crossed the Yucatan Peninsula and then made landfall a second time near the mouth of the Rio Grande. Beulah was one of the stronger storms to make landfall in the United States. The S.S.
