11'9''01 September 11 (2002, 135 min), is an international film from Samira Makhmalbaf (Iran), Claude Lelouch (France), Youssef Chahine (Egypt), Danis Tanovic (Bosnia-Herzegovina), Idrissa Ouedraogo (Burkina Faso), Ken Loach (UK), Alejandro Gonzlez Irritu (Mexico), Amos Gita (Israel), Mira Nair (India), Sean Penn (USA), Shohei Imamura (Japan). Original idea and production by French producer Alain Brigand. This film put together 11 short films from 11 international filmmakers. Each gave their own vision of the tragic events in New York City on September 11, 2001, in a short film during 11 minutes, 9 seconds, and one frame. This film received the Special Prize at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival.
