101 Dalmatians

This article is about the live-action film. For the animated film, see the One Hundred and One Dalmatians spelling. 101 Dalmatians is a live-action movie made by The Walt Disney Company in 1996. It is a remake of the 1961 animated film One Hundred and One Dalmatians (which in turn was based on Dodie Smith's 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians). It stars Glenn Close as the villainous Cruella De Vil. Unlike the earlier versions of the story, none of the dalmatians talk. A sequel, entitled 102 Dalmatians, was released in 2000.
