Gorgona Gorgona has several walking trails, all beautiful, which are a great opportunity to learn about its diverse ecosystem. One of them leads to a beach on the other side, Bahia Cocal, and is a one-day trip you can’t miss for this beach is truly breathtaking, and from its shore you can see Gorgonilla, a second, small island. There are several snorkeling and diving spots, for the experts as well as for the amateurs, and a diving station that rents the necessary equipment and teaches diving courses. The boat trip around the island is a must; you can also visit the prison ruins and the small museum, and the beach in front is always an inviting option. If you go during “whale season”, then whale sighting from the beach will be a major part of the trip... just listening to the chants while you swim or dive will be amazing.
