Lakes District Chile is a very long skinny country which causes it to have many distinct parts. The Lake District is absolutely beautiful and very unique. The mountains and lakes give it a very relaxing and non-touristy atmosphere. There are howeever many fantastic experiences to be had. There is an absolutely amazing active volcano to summit as well as some invigorating and challenging whitewater rafting to enjoy. I highly recommend that you spend some time in this area of an all together wonderful country that is slowly being discovered by tourists.
