Angra-dos-reis Angra dos Reis is not much of a tourist detsination itself but it's a very convenient place from where you can explore some greta beaches nearby. The Campina Grande is close by and can be reached by ferry. The island is 'all beach and tropical jungle' with onlyt three small towns on the island. The best beaches close to Angra are in Vila Velha - can be recahed by Vila Velha municipal bus- and Praia Grande.
