Ronan There are 2 wildlife refuge's one close to a small town Swan Lake, and the other south of Ronan you can drive thru them and see all kinds of wildlife Including Buffalo, Elk, Mule deer to small game, If you have children they would be overjoyed and so exited to have gone there. and also there is glacier national park which I also enjoyed.. The Nicest Scenic route in that area my opinion is LoLo pass rt. 12 out of missoula SW into Kamiah, Idaho. I been up and down LoLo Pass 4 times. From Missoula to kamiah it I believe is around 100 miles of no towns or gas station, So fill up your gas tank and enjoy your day of ahhh it is absolutly beautiful country, the road has alot of sharp curves ..so watch the road you will find your eyes just sucking up all the beauty. You will be traveling along Lochsa River most of the way, you will see alot of pull off's and only a few areas for camping there are stories along the way about Lewis and clark and the Native americains. I would suggest taking a trip there in the summer months, So if you are in that area or passing thru that area check it out. You will thank me:-)
