Little Big Horn Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument is the site of the June 25, 1876 battle between the U.S. Army's seventh cavalry, guided by Crow and Arikara scouts, and several bands of Lakota Sioux, Cheyenne, and Araphaho. Led mainly by Chief Sitting Bull. Fallen soldier markers indicate the locations of the spots where the soldiers were found. Unfortunatly none were given to the Native Americans who lost their lives in the battle, mainly due to the fact they were removed by their people before the white man returned.
