Cape Cod

Cape Cod is a truly unique destination. It’s amazing the amount of things to do in such a small place. It has yet to be destroyed with overdevelopment, save for certain areas inland that have evolved into strip mall central. But anyone who hops on 6A and makes the trip toward Provincetown, if they slow down, relax, and enjoy, will learn to appreciate the Cape as one of the most special places on Earth. Cross the Bourne Bridge and you're there. Be careful of the Rotary all you out of staters: the rotary traffic has the right of way! Avoid the silliness of Rt 6, its another endless boring highway, and get off on 6a. Stop by the Cape Cod canal and watch the fishermen catch stripers and breed tales of the activity. Cruise down a bit to Sandwich and explore the beach with its impressive dunes. Enjoy all of the antique shops along the way. Just peel your eyes, and stop everywhere. When you have a beach need, turn left and you'll find it. It proves difficult at times as much of the land is privately owned, but thats part of the fun of exploring. Keep up this same path, and gop all the way to Provincetown. You can't really go wrong on the Cape, its too well catered to tourists. And I have an important suggestion, if possible, avoid peak summer months as it get CRAZY. Traffic can back up for hours especially on Friday and Sunday nights when the flight back to urban life hits it peak. Go in lte spring or fall, its just as beautiful, you just need a jacket. The stress you will eliminate will be worth it.
