College Park College Park contains the flagship campus of the University of Maryland System. The city does have it's own government and residents, however the population is small compared to that of the university. A large research branch of the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration also resides within College Park. Historical landmarks include the College Park Airport and Aviation Museum where the Wright brothers instructed early military aviators.
