Big Pine Key Big Pine Key iss part of the Lower Florida Keys. It is home to the Key Deer, a small kind of deer with a white tail, of which you find some 300 on the Key. Things to do include a dive in Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary, or you can go off shore fishing or relax in the Florida Keys backcountry while flats fishing. Bahia Honda State Park is nearby for an afternoon picnic or canoe trip. There are also quite a lot of nightlife opportunities.
