Igaliku

Igaliku is a small village located in th south of Greenland, in a region with good possibilities for agriculture.

It is one of the oldest towns of the country. It was an important religious center in the days of the Vikings and the ruins of the cathedral they built in th 11-th century are one of the touristic highlights of town.

By boat you can visit more viking ruins, as well as Hvalsey Church.

Igaliku is 500 km south of Nuuk.
