Kendal

Kendal Castle, constructed in the 12th century, is now a ruin but it is a haunting place with a superb view over the town.

A unique sight at Kendal is the Quaker Tapestry. This involved voluntary work by more than 4,000 people in 15 countries and consists of 77 panels, each 25” by 21”. Do at least look at the website and you might well find yourself wanting to visit.
